It’s Fall. It’s Film. It’s Fort Worth
The Lone Star International Film Festival, hosted by the Lone Star Film Society, is a year round series of programs culminating in a five day celebration of cinema in November. In its inaugural year, the festival welcomed Martin Sheen, T-Bone Burnett, Robert Rodriguez, Harry Dean Stanton, Bill Paxton, Fred Durst, and Donal Logue among many others. The five day 2008 LSIFF will feature approximately 50 screenings to include feature length narratives and documentaries as well as animated and short films from all over the world, representing the newest and brightest talent in international cinema. Along with educational panels, red carpet entrances, celebrity guests, and nightly parties featuring celebrated musical acts, the festival promises to become the marquee fall cultural event in Fort Worth. Venues this year will include the AMC Palace Theatre, the Four Day Weekend Theatre, and the Scott Theatre, as well as the Norris Conference Center, Modern Art Museum, and Kimbell Art Museum with additional venues to be announced soon.
